Breather Valve

Breather valves, also known as pressure vacuum relief valves, are low-pressure devices designed to protect tanks, recess systems, and equipment from damage caused by overpressure or vacuum conditions. These breather valves effectively retain toxic vapors, preventing atmospheric contamination and enhancing fire protection and safety. By retaining vapor, they also minimize production losses due to evaporation. 

Pressure vacuum relief valves are widely used on bulk storage tanks, including fixed roof tanks with floating covers, to further reduce evaporation losses. These valves help prevent the buildup of excessive pressure or vacuum that could compromise the integrity of the storage vessel. Protection against pressure and vacuum levels is managed through weighted pallets or springs, which can be combined to achieve the desired pressure/vacuum settings.
