SIGHT GLASS/WELD PAD SIGHT GLASS
Available in both Circular and Rectangular Pad types, the weld pad sight glass, also referred to as a weld pad liquid level gauge or weld pad level indicator, is a specialized type of liquid level gauge. It is directly welded, either through tack welding or full welding, to the walls of containers or tanks used in industrial process monitoring.
These weld pad level gauges come in reflex and transparent gauge glass configurations, making them ideal for pressure vessels, vacuum vessels, tanks, reactors, filters, boiling beds, and other closed or non-critical process containers.
To install or service the gauge, tanks must be relieved of pressure and drained. Weld pad level gauges are particularly advantageous for high vibration environments, as well as for highly viscous liquids or those containing significant solid particulates, commonly encountered in the industrial production processes of industries such as petroleum, chemicals, chemical fibers, pharmaceuticals, and food.
